About DIO Role
DIO RD Overseas & Training Region (OS & Trg) is made up of three operational areas; Permanent Joint Operating Bases (PJOBs), Overseas and the Defence Training Estate (DTE). It is responsible for managing the DTE enabling Defence and other authorised users to train for and meet their operational liabilities, maintaining a safe and legal built estate across the UK Strategic Command deployed operating bases and the Army’s overseas estate.
The tour length is 2 years with the option to extend by a further year ( pending approvals) 2+1
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

- The post holder must have a proven track record in carrying out successful assurance activities. The successful candidate will be required to handle challenging priorities and work in a collaborative manner with the contractors yet provide impartial evidence when undertaking vital assurance tasks. The post holder will also be required at times to present findings to colleagues that have limited or no infrastructure experience and can relay complex and critical issues in a concise manner. You will need strong communication skills and be able to develop relationships with a large, diverse group of partners and stakeholders across the MOD. This key position is based on an overseas site and the post holder will be required to work remotely and, at times, with limited functional support.

Job description
DIO Regional Delivery PJOBs manages the delivery of the DIO contracted, and, where appropriate, in-house facilities management and associated services to military users within the region. This includes essential contract management and key relationship management with senior users, key suppliers and other elements of DIO.
As the DIO Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for fundamental estate assurance activities in the Falkland Islands in accordance with Estate Management 02 (EM02) and other necessary assurance methodology. In conjunction with the Overseas Prime Contract (OPC) Soft and Hard Facilities Management (FM) contractor, you will ensure that value for money is achieved by monitoring, identifying, and tracking significant issues. This will cover requirements in the contract deliverables and Additional Works that form part of the Falklands Command Infrastructure Delivery Plan (CIDP). This post brings with it the opportunity to deliver valuable high profile works on a busy estate which has a unique profile and level of importance within the MOD. Working within an exciting environment and delivering to a 1* customer embedded within a joint service team there are developmental and career improving opportunities.

The post holder needs to be able to prioritise fundamental tasks effectively and work collaboratively with a range of other people to achieve common goals.
The successful candidate also needs to have excellent communication skills, being able to communicate complex and important information to a diverse group of colleagues.
It is vital that the post holder can develop strong, effective, and mutually beneficial working relationships, both with the Contractor and the wider MOD community.
Experience in Facilities Management and in carrying out successful assurance activities is essential.
Also essential is technical experience of 'Estate Management Competence Framework'

Desirable:
