Establishment Forest Works Supervisor

Along with the Establishment Forester your role will be to support the geographical beat teams to deliver ground prep, restocking and establishment of our future tree crops across the district.

You will be responsible for coordinating with the beat teams, supervising the establishment tractors and contractors' resource, supervising planting and establishment contracts as required.

You will be expected to complete works to a high health & safety and quality standard, ensuring targets are met within a given time frame. You should be able to work closely within a team to solve problems and manage challenges that may arise throughout the process. You will be self-motivated and be able to work on your own when required.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

• Supervise ground prep and restocking to deliver outputs and results;
• Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with contract specifications, ensuring health and safety requirements are met
• Assist in the planning of work programs with the establishment Forester
• Undertake crop surveys and assessments as needed
• Monitor plant quality, planting spacing and quality
• Effectively supervise, motivate and support colleagues and contractors ensuring a high quality of work, effective communication and team working.

Any other task reasonably requested by your line manager.
