This strategic role will lead the Health and Social Care agenda on behalf of the Probation Service in the East Midlands. The post holder is responsible for the management of the Health and Justice Partnership Co-ordinators within the probation region, including ensuring impactful delivery of workstreams, performance and quality matrices. Under the guidance of the regional HoCI, the postholder will develop and deliver regional Probation Service Health and Social Care strategic priorities, which align with existing and emerging national priorities. This role involves working with an extensive range of internal and external partners to improve the health and wellbeing of those under probation supervision and contribute to reducing health inequities within the criminal justice system. This includes improving continuity of care for prison leavers and improving access to Community Sentence Treatment Requirements to deliver robust pathways to treatment services. The Health and Social Care agenda is complex, and the post holder will engage with and lead multiple themes, which include, but are not limited to; mental health, substance misuse, physical health and social care.
