Job description
Greater Manchester Probation, Public Protection Function, are recruiting an SPO to co-lead the GM Probation Victims team. This is a permanent role, and the successful candidate will work alongside two other SPOs to ensure the delivery of high-quality victim services across the GM region. The victims team work with victims of violent and sexual offences, keeping them informed at key stages of a perpetrator’s sentence, supporting and signposting to support services, as well as ensuring that victim needs are represented within sentence and risk management plans. The role requires excellent leadership and partnership skills to drive this critical area of probation work with both internal and external stakeholders. There is flexibility in regard to an Office Base location, which will be agreed on appointment. Travel to multiple sites across GM is a requirement.
