Job summary

In the role of Estates Technical Associate, you will be responsible for providing technical administrative support to the Estates Group. This includes support to the Technical Leads, Facilities Managers and Permit Co-Ordination Office (PCO). The administrative support, which spans key areas such as Health and Safety (H&S), Assurance, Rural Estate and Facilities Management, will require technical knowledge of the Estates Group and ultimately contribute to Dstl having a safe, secure and legally compliant estate.

The post holder will work within a low-high security environment and must comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, policies and procedures. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided where required.

Job description

What You'll Do

  • Support in the planning, presenting and note taking of Estates chaired meetings such as the Requirements and Siting Boards.
  • Distribute Q-Pulse reports to the relevant FM/dFMs.
  • Maintain, record and chase actions resulting from H&S inspections.
  • Work alongside the Soft Services Team to provide resilience with soft FM suppliers.
  • Raise purchase requisitions.
  • Assist in the management of the FM planned service scheduling, planned maintenance schedule and reactive works ensuring they are carried out in line with contractual requirements

Qualifications

Essential

  • Evidence of good standard of general education e.g. GCSEs or equivalent including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
  • Appropriate qualification or vocational training in business administration e.g. A Levels, NVQ Level 3. In the absence of a formal qualification relevant experience will be considered (i.e. 3-4 years working in an administrative or operations support environment).
