Delivery - The jobs at this level will be task focused delivering defined activity or services within their own area of expertise.

Overview

Job holders within this Group Profile will contribute to and lead the assessment of prisoners and will prepare, implement, review and evaluate their sentence plans with them. The job holder will build effective and supportive relationships with prisoners, with the aim of reducing re-offending.

These roles are non-operational with no line management responsibilities and are rotational.

Characteristics

Typical tasks associated with this Group Profile include:

• Interview prisoners on arrival within prescribed timescales
• Co-ordinate information for reports and hearings
• Liaise with Multi Agency case workers to exchange factual information

• Caseworker : Offender Management- POM
• Caseworker : Offender Supervisor
• Caseworker : Special Units
• Caseworker : Substance Misuse and Offender Supervisor
• Caseworker : Resettlement Practitioner YP

Essential Skills/ Qualifications/ Accreditation/ Registration

Job holders will complete specific training in OAsys for assessors and Offender Supervisor Foundation once they take up post.

An ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English or (where specified in Wales) Welsh.

Hours of Work and Allowances

37 hour working week.
