Job summary

The SFO supports the UK’s prosperity and global market position by promoting stable business conditions through investigating and prosecuting serious and complex fraud, bribery and corruption and money laundering. Our mission is to reduce the harm caused by high level economic crime, and preserve and enhance the reputation of the UK as a safe place to do business. We do that by taking on a selected number of large complex cases for investigation and, where appropriate, prosecution or judicially supervised disposal. We also pursue criminals for recovery of unlawful financial gains. We are unique in that we both investigate and prosecute offenders and have special legal powers to enable us to do this.

Working within one of the Operational Business Areas, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating cases of serious and complex fraud, corruption or proceeds of crime. As a Case Progression Officer, you will be responsible for the management and control of all case material for the cases assigned to you. Alongside administrative duties, you should expect to attend court to assist Counsel during trials and to help with the logistics of planning search operations. You will be an efficient and reliable administrator, proactive in supporting your team and capable of managing and prioritising multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines. This is a mobile grade and may involve travel and time spent away from home attending SFO trials around the country.

This is a collaborative role, so you will enjoy interacting with people and be proficient in communicating across a range of audiences. Above all you will need to possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude, working closely with the team to ensure all case documentation and related finance matters are efficiently processed and in order.
