Job summary

Job description

The post holder is responsible to the Quartermaster (QM) and Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS) for supporting a range of logistical and administrative activities, contributing to the effective and efficient operation of the department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Quartermaster (QM) Department, including support to the Chain of Command.
  • Manage arrival, transfer and discharge procedures, ensuring records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support weekly and monthly administrative close-down procedures.
  • Undertake general office duties, including managing post, photocopying and document preparation.
  • Maintain office supplies and departmental publications.
  • Manage departmental archives and monitor document retention, expiry and destruction requirements.
  • Complete training and operate new and emerging systems as required.
  • Assist with audit preparation and support audit activity as required.
  • Complete the Inventory User Course and any additional mandatory online training.
  • Act as the departmental demander for Contracting, Purchasing and Finance (CP&F) activities.
  • Process and manage spectacle prescription requests on behalf of the department.
  • Provide administrative support to help address logistical shortfalls when directed by the Quartermaster (QM) or Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS).
