About the team

The Regulation Guidance Team works to ensure that parties, campaigners, candidates and other regulated groups have the information, support and confidence they need to comply with political finance law. You’ll be joining a team of three other expert Senior Advisers working in the wider Regulatory Support team.

The team works closely with colleagues across the regulatory advice service, legal, and policy teams to develop guidance, respond to stakeholder queries and support legislative change. The team culture is collaborative, supportive and focused on delivering practical solutions that make compliance accessible and understandable.

About the role

The Senior Regulation Guidance Adviser plays a vital role in helping political parties, campaigners, candidates and other regulated organisations understand and comply with political finance law.

Working at the intersection of regulation, guidance, stakeholder engagement and policy, you will develop high-quality guidance, resources and training that enable stakeholders to campaign confidently while meeting their legal obligations. You'll provide expert advice on complex political finance issues, support responses to regulatory queries and contribute practical insight into policy and legislative developments.

This is a highly visible role within a politically sensitive environment and an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys translating complex legislation into clear, accessible and practical guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing high-quality written guidance and resources on political finance law.
• Supporting the Regulatory Advice Service in responding to complex stakeholder enquiries.
• Delivering training and engagement activities for external stakeholders.
• Providing practical advice and insight to support policy development and legislative change.
• Working collaboratively with legal, digital, policy and regulatory colleagues to improve guidance and stakeholder support.
