Job summary

Role purpose

This role provides professional and dedicated support to stakeholders as part of our pensions service.

The role holder manages and co-ordinates key tasks, outputs, and reports to ensure required standards and timeframes are met, delivering a high-quality service.

The role holder assists with the administration of the defined benefit pension scheme (HCAPS), effectively managing complex processes and supporting HR managers when required.

The role consistently demonstrates and embeds the values and behaviours in daily work, contributing to a positive and inclusive culture.

  • Appropriate Professional membership e.g. CIPP.
  • Strong experience of working with defined benefits pension administration
  • Experience of working with and advising line managers on best practice.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and whilst maintaining customer confidentiality.
  • Experience in taking a customer focused approach to service delivery.
  • Knowledge at intermediate level - Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and advanced level - Excel
  • Awareness of GDPR.

Job description

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Support a range of pension related activities (eg. Including the management of the day-to-day management of a DB pension scheme)
  • Use communication skills to understand and advise others effectively and to assist in the completion of tasks in line with KPIs.
  • Apply practical Pensions experience to solve problems, in line with processes and procedures.
  • Provide advice and support, responding to queries within the team.
  • Work independently within standardised routines.
  • Deliver results for the team through technical proficiency in Pensions.
  • Contribute to the performance of technical functions within the team.
  • Influence resource utilisation and provide administrative support to the team.
