Regional Project Manager - North East

Are you an experienced project manager looking for a role with real purpose?

As a Regional Project Manager within our Public Safety & Subsidence team, you'll help protect communities across the North East of England by managing a varied portfolio of projects investigating and remediating mining-related hazards. Working across the North East and occasionally Cumbria, you'll collaborate with contractors, consultants, local authorities and customers to deliver practical solutions that help keep people, property and infrastructure safe.

This is a unique opportunity to combine project management, stakeholder engagement and technical problem solving in a role where you can see the direct impact of your work. From overseeing planned remediation projects to supporting emergency responses when incidents occur, you'll play an important role in helping communities affected by mining legacy issues. The role offers a high degree of autonomy within a predominantly home-based environment, balanced with regular site visits and opportunities to work closely with technical specialists and external partners. As a Regional Project Manager, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of public safety and subsidence projects across the North East of England and occasionally Cumbria.
• Lead projects from planning through to successful delivery.
• Oversee investigations and remediation works relating to mining-related hazards.
• Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, communities, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, risks, performance and delivery timescales.
• Balance quality, cost, timescales and risk to ensure effective project delivery.
• Use technical information and professional judgement to support decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and technical specialists to develop practical solutions.
• Support emergency response activity relating to ground instability, property damage and mining-related hazards when required.
• Coordinate expertise, resources and decision-making during emergency response situations.
• Contribute to projects that protect people, property and infrastructure.
