As a Recruitment and Onboarding Advisor, you’ll play an important role in supporting the UK’s parliamentary democracy. Your work will help Members carry out their responsibilities effectively — contributing to something bigger than any one role.

You’ll be part of a collaborative community, working alongside colleagues from a wide range of professions. Together, we make Parliament happen.

You’ll be based on the Parliamentary Estate in Westminster — a unique working environment shaped by history and powered by the people who work here today.

  • Experience of managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns, delivering a professional, efficient and customer-focused service to managers, employees and candidates.
  • Experience of providing advice, guidance and support to managers and stakeholders, helping them make informed recruitment decisions.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, build effective relationships and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
  • It would be even better if you have (or are willing to learn):
  • An understanding of recruitment legislation, including contractual documentation and the Equality Act.

Job description

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a professional, inclusive and efficient recruitment and onboarding service, helping attract talented people from a wide range of backgrounds to support the work of Parliament. You'll manage recruitment campaigns from end to end, working closely with hiring managers, candidates and stakeholders to ensure a positive experience, fair processes and successful appointments across diverse professions and teams.

You'll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, providing expert advice and guidance, delivering recruitment training, and helping managers build confidence in recruitment best practice. As well as supporting day-to-day recruitment and onboarding activity, you'll contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes and systems, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, compliance and the overall candidate experience.

This job is broadly open to the following groups:
