Working in the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber (NEYH) regional team, the Partnership and Business Development Manager will be joining an experienced, multi-disciplinary team. The team are focussed on unlocking tens of thousands of homes in the York and North Yorkshire area working closely with a range of partners.
We do this by enabling and supporting the coordination and delivery of complex, large-scale housing and regeneration projects. We work collaboratively with local authorities, combined authorities, central Government and leading private sector partners.
This is an exciting role providing the opportunity to participate in some of NEYH’s most transformational housing and regeneration projects and work in partnership to meet housing need. The Regional Team work on strategic projects requiring complex or multiple interventions to unlock delivery and drive projects forward. We also coordinate a range of interventions offered by Homes England meaning you will be at the heart of the Agency’s capacity to support housing and regeneration.
Our role is to coordinate partnerships between the public and private sector identifying the required mix of capital, land, and delivery expertise required to drive each project. We do this through our existing SPPs with West Yorkshire, York and North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Hull and East Riding. Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of high-quality homes in these locations, whilst also supporting economic growth through regeneration and placemaking.
What they’re looking for
- We are looking for someone to join our team who wants to work on the delivery of complex regeneration projects, can understand the barriers faced in delivering them, and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.
- You'll be comfortable supporting the Senior Manager and Senior Leadership Team on housing and regeneration projects. You’ll have the ability to review and absorb information on complex projects, undertake diagnostics identifying barriers to delivery and produce briefings and reports for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be a natural team worker able to work with a range of skills and specialisms to ensure that projects and programmes are delivered well.
- You will have a collaborative approach to team work and in turn will be supported by a Senior Manager and a wider team of highly skilled colleagues. You will be able to focus on the issues at hand, working at pace in an evolving policy landscape.
- If you would like a brief conversation about this role, please contact the hiring manager callum.smith@homesengland.gov.uk.
