Job summary
As the International Social Media Executive, you will play a key role in bringing VisitBritain’s brand, campaigns and consumer marketing activity to life across our social media channels. Using your creativity, platform knowledge and understanding of what inspires people to travel, you will create engaging social-first content that encourages international audiences to choose Britain for their next trip.
With a passion for social media, content creation and storytelling, you'll be constantly looking for opportunities to tap into emerging trends, cultural moments, new formats and platform features. You'll understand what makes audiences stop scrolling, creating content with compelling hooks that drives engagement, encourages saves for future travel inspiration and inspires people to share content with friends and family.
This role requires strong content creation skills, including filming, editing and producing short-form video content. You'll use audience insights, channel expertise and performance data to identify content opportunities, optimise performance and ensure content reflects VisitBritain's brand values across all channels.
It's also important that you're well-versed in channel management, including content scheduling, copywriting and community management, helping VisitBritain build meaningful connections with social audiences around the world.
As the role may involve content capture at events, attractions and industry activity, occasional travel and some evening or weekend work may be required.
Experience of working with paid social and influencer marketing is preferred but not essential.
