Ready to make a real difference? Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as our E Learning Developer. This is your chance to play a meaningful role in helping people across the UK build stronger financial futures and to do it as part of a supportive, energetic team.

Why this role matters?

The eLearning Developer will play a key role in the delivery of the Money Guiders eLearning Transformation Project, a time-bound programme delivering a major migration of the existing eLearning catalogue to a new learning platform and authoring environment, primarily Articulate Rise, with completion planned by mid-2027.

This significant transformation programme will modernise and enhance a learning portfolio comprising more than 34 modules, over 20 hours of learning content, assessments, multimedia assets and supporting resources, while improving learner engagement, accessibility, quality and consistency.

Working as part of the Learning Design team, the postholder will support the review, redesign, redevelopment, testing and quality assurance of learning content and assets. They will contribute to improving the learner experience, ensuring content meets accessibility standards, reflects current best practice in eLearning, and aligns with agreed build and quality standards.

The role is focused on the hands-on development and delivery of eLearning content and will work closely with the Project Manager, Learning Designers, Digital Learning Coordinator, Subject Matter Experts and other stakeholders. The postholder will help ensure the successful and timely delivery of the transformed catalogue, supporting the programme's objectives and contributing to the launch of a modernised eLearning offer.

The role supports a national training offer delivered to a wide network of external organisations and practitioners across the UK, designed to improve their understanding, skills, and confidence

What they’re looking for

  • Essential Demonstrable experience developing, building and maintaining interactive eLearning content using Articulate 360, with strong hands-on expertise in Articulate Rise.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Photoshop, and Illustrator to create, edit and optimise eLearning assets.
  • Experience applying instructional design principles to transform existing content into engaging, accessible and learner-centred learning experiences.
  • Knowledge of eLearning standards and accessibility requirements, including WCAG, with experience implementing accessible and inclusive design practices in online learning content.
  • Experience working collaboratively with project teams, subject matter experts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality eLearning content, with strong organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities to agreed deadlines.
  • Desirable
  • Experience working in a regulated, educational, public sector or professional development environment.
  • Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and optimise video and audio content for eLearning.
  • Familiarity with LMS/LXPs and digital learning technologies, including an understanding of SCORM, xAPI, cmi5 and other learning standards
