Job summary

Help build the National Housing Bank's place-based investment function

The National Housing Bank (NHB) is a new government-backed financial institution, operating as a subsidiary of Homes England, established to unlock investment and accelerate housing delivery across England.

We're looking for a Director, Regional Investment & Place Solutions to join the NHB Senior Leadership Team and help shape one of the UK's most significant housing finance platforms.

Salary: c. £140,000–£150,000 plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer, National Housing Bank

  • You'll bring significant experience in investment, banking, finance, real estate, regeneration or a related sector, together with a strong track record of leadership, partnership working and originating opportunities.
  • You'll be highly collaborative, comfortable working across organisational boundaries and able to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across both the public and private sectors.
  • Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help shape a new institution with a clear purpose and play a leading role in supporting housing delivery and growth across England.

Job description

You'll lead the National Housing Bank's regional coverage model across England, working closely with Homes England Regional Executive Directors and regional teams to identify, develop and progress investment opportunities that support housing delivery, regeneration and growth.

You'll establish and lead the National Housing Bank's new regional coverage and place-based origination function, creating a national team that works across England to identify, develop and progress housing and regeneration opportunities. Working closely with Homes England regional teams, NHB product teams and external partners, you'll help connect places and projects to the Bank's debt, equity and guarantee capabilities.
