What they’re looking for

  • To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
  • Experience of supporting business change implementation, helping to plan and coordinate activities that enable successful adoption and benefits realisation.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business requirements, while supporting effective engagement and communication to ensure successful delivery of change initiatives.
  • Experience of contributing to change initiatives by identifying improvements, adapting to new ways of working, and supporting others through change to achieve successful outcomes.

  • We welcome applications from candidates who can speak Welsh and English. Welsh language skills could be useful in this role, but it is not an assessment criterion, so it won’t put you at any disadvantage during recruitment if you aren’t a Welsh speaker. Please note that the application and assessment process will be held in English.
  • Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements
  • Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
  • Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 35 hours per week over 5 days.
  • This role is suitable for hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements.
  • The expectation at present is a minimum of 60% of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders. Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.

Job description

The Change Manager prepares the business for the changes delivered by the project. They act as a bridge between the project and business users, ensuring that activities are planned and completed to help the business implement the agreed change and realise the benefits.

Working as part of a blended team, the role contributes to maintaining plans, sharing information, and supporting stakeholder engagement to ensure change is delivered smoothly and embedded into business operations.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Identify stakeholders and ensures their inclusion in the stakeholder engagement plan. Serve as the contact point for nominated stakeholders within each change.
  • Assist the Change Manager and business/end users in identifying, qualifying, and updating business readiness criteria before implementation.
  • Prepare, manage and update the change plan
  • Lead business change activities and collaborate with the project team to achieve the benefits and outcomes in the business case. Champion best practices and provide expert advice to team members and the project community. Assess and understand stakeholder impact to enhance their adoption of the change.
  • Collect and shares data in line with data standards. Uses digital tools to manage change initiatives effectively, ensuring that data analytics support the identification and tracking of change impacts and the adoption of new ways of working.
